Thanks to and other such vendors, beginning writers like myself have an unbelieveable audience reach. Within a year my humble novel had an international audience. That just blows me away.
At the same time, let’s not forget our homegrown neighborhood bookstores. They are particularly helpful to local authors, giving them an audience in their own backyard that can, through word of mouth, help grow a book’s audience.
Think about the jobs you can save, too, by shopping locally. You help the hometown economy, you help fledgling authors. Win-win, as they say.
Signed copies of “The Cyber Miracles” are now available at three Southern Tier bookstores.
Stop in and say hi to Laura at Riverow Bookshop, where you’ll find current works and a great used/rare books selection that can save you lots of $$$. Chat awhile with Connie, Pat and Jane at the very cozy RiverRead Books in Binghamton.Gaze at the beautiful view of the Chenango River as you sip tea in handthrown pottery mugs. And make sure to stop and say hi to Gary at The Bookery II when you visit the always cool & hip downtown Ithaca.
Online stores and local bookstores can, and must, coexist. So readers, give them a chance and browse them all.

About the book

Maeve Kenny's life was going exactly as she'd planned. At 30 she was dating a soap opera star and had an exciting public relations career with an Irish-owned firm in Manhattan. Then three sudden events turned everything upside down, and Maeve found herself fleeing her Queens apartment for sanctuary back home upstate in Binghamton. As she tries to readjust to the dramatic changes in her life, Maeve says she needs a miracle to turn her life around. Who would have thought the whole world would be watching when it happens?
