billjaker_offthepage_040108.jpg Today at 1 p.m. I was a guest on Bill Jaker’s show “Off the Page” on WSKG FM. Bill is the consummate pro and made the interview feel as easy as a front porch conversation. He obviously had read the book carefully and brought up the key points I was trying to get across. We started the show off with a bit of fun, as Gaeilge, in honor of the date.
Bill has crossed over recently into blogdom with The Jakerblog on which he discusses his shows, musings on life and includes his beautifully evocative poem, “winter memory.”
If you enjoyed the poem I read on the show, “Raifteirí,” you can see a bilingual transcription of it on my Gaeilge page.
Go raibh míle maith agat, a Liam (A thousand thanks to ye, Bill)!
UPDATE: Greg Keeler of WSKG graciously supplied the permanent link to our interview yesterday, including a downloadable podcast. Access them here.
