I’m about to launch the marketing campaign for the sequel, A Sudden Gift of Fate. A review will be posted soon at the blog All Things Irish. Two big events are coming up very soon, also:

• OCT. 21, 11:30 a.m. : Interview w/ Morgen McLaughlin, President of Finger Lakes Wine Country on her BlogTalkRadio show Finger Lakes Wine Talk.
• NOV. 1, 2-5 p.m.: Book launch at RiverRead Books, Binghamton. Reading, book signing and sampling of Finger Lakes wines.

The book has already made its way across the country to Montana, California, North Carolina as well as here in New York. Hope the story continues to have “legs,” just like a glass of fine wine.

I’m overjoyed to announce that my second novel, the sequel to The Cyber Miracles has just been published!
The book costs $20 and is currently available at my eStore on CreateSpace (actually a private storefront connected to Amazon.com). It will be available shortly on Amazon.com.
There will be a launch of the book, with a reading/signing, in a couple of weeks in Binghamton. That info will be posted here as soon as I have the exact date.
I hope you enjoy the novel as much as I have enjoyed creating it, quite a labor of love. Sláinte!

     Here’s the design for The Cyber Miracles sequel’s cover. It was done by Jocelyn Bailey, a recent graduate of the University of Buffalo. Jocelyn also designed the cover for my first novel. She felt it was important to retain a similar feel between both designs, with the graded tones. This cover was purposefully done in Riesling-ish yellow-greens, symbolizing the signature wine of the Finger Lakes.
     Once this is finished, it will be uploaded and I should get the final proof from the publisher in a couple of days. Can’t wait!

     Last night I added a bit of Finger Lakes viticulture history to the beginning of each chapter in the sequel. Spent the whole day doing research on this. Fascinating stuff.
     One more read through, finish up the cover and I’ll be shipping “A Sudden Gift of Fate” off for publication. Phew! Can’t wait. Just in time for the new vintages to be bottled….

     Feedback is trickling in from my editors on the sequel, “A Sudden Gift of Fate.”  So far their response has been very good, buíochas le Dia!
     I found writing a sequel to “The Cyber Miracles” tricky, because it had such a strong story hook. With the sequel, I was picking up the characters and writing a story to fit them — a completely different approach. Glad to hear my editors think it worked.
